Catering School & Hospitality Courses

StedyChefs Learning Centre is our sister company… At our Learning Centre we teach adults with learning difficulties and disabilities cookery and independent living skills.

We recently won a National Diversity Award and are also a member of the Independent Cookery School Association.

We teach the basics of cookery skills and food hygiene giving a proper insight as to what the catering industry is like…  We have all the facilities in place and a minibus to help with transportation.

There is also a big communal area for friends and family to watch their loved ones learn as they are taught by our fully trained staff who are all DBS checked.

At Stedychefs we want everyone in our community to have the opportunity to learn about food and cooking in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

We are pleased to be able to run Life Skills Cookery Courses for adults who may have a learning or physical disability. We work with individuals and, where applicable, social workers to find out how best we can help and support our students to achieve the most from a course of learning. In partnership with the relevant statutory and voluntary agencies, we ensure that our students are on the best path to learning. We run 4-hour courses during the day in our cookery school where students will learn a range of skills which are planned and taught, with their individual needs in mind, over a number of weeks.

During each session, students learn from a variety of practical tasks. Each term we cover topics such as food hygiene and safety through to menu planning along with plenty of opportunities to get hands-on preparing and cooking main meals and desserts. Small group sizes ensure that students get plenty of one to one tuition and support.

Our cookery school is DDA compliant.
